Sam- Rest in Peace Taryn 12-17-15

We as a human race don't realize the crushing weight of death. We joke about wanting to die before a math test, because it feels like death isn't real.  Death is a far, far time away from now for most of us, so now we feel invincible.  However, when someone we know dies, someone we saw everyday, we remember, that we are just human, and we are not invincible, we will die at some point.  We gloat and jest at death, when really, death is just binding his time until he can laugh at you back.  Today someone I went to middle school with passed away suddenly.  Just yesterday I was joking about how "Oh I would rather die than do to gym".  Today, there were no such jokes, today everyone is silent.  Right now it feels like the world has been spun off it's axis.  I am writing this today to tell you, you reading this right now, I have never been more grateful for everyone around me.  I realized today how much the people in this world mean.  There are people who I don't even talk to, but I know I would miss seeing them, happy, and with the people who mean so much to them.  This girl who passed away was so kind and caring to everyone, and I wasn't friends with her personally, but I saw her every single day, trying to make people happy.  Something you don't realize about death, as soon as that person leaves, you begin to forget.  You forget the small creases in their face, the way their eyes looked when they smiled.  Most importantly you forget their voice.

I encourage you to go to the people who mean the most to you and tell them how much they mean to you, because when they're gone, you will never forgive yourself for not saying it enough.  Rest in peace Taryn, we will miss you.

Hope you have a wonderful day/week/month/year/lifetime/beyond :)

Here are just a few facts about me and some favorites of mine that maybe people would want to know! :)  (I saw Sam writing one so I thought maybe I should create on myself)

  • My hair is in between a chocolate and dark brown color. (I did recently dye it burgundy but it's now mostly faded ): ....)
  • My favorite books include Girl Online by Zoella and Tuesdays With Morrie by Mitch Albom (I'm sure I'll find new books to obsess over)
  • My favorite stores include H&M, Khols, and many others, but I plan to visit Primark and Topshop asap!
  • I'm obsessed with YouTube, I don't think some people understand. Some of my favorite youtubers include Zoella, Dan and Phil, Tanya Burr, ThatcherJoe, and just so many people who I'm watching constantly. (I've been really obsessed with vlogmas for this year)
  • I don't really have a favorite school subject, because I'm not really taking any interesting classes, but if I had to pick one I'd choose English.
  • I love food, but I don't really have a favorite. I once had a vegan stir-fry which was AMAZING. Pizza is really good too. I don't really have an all time favorite though.
  • Dairy Milk chocolate is the best chocolate ever! (To bad they don't have any in the U.S)
  • Favorite T.V. shows, well, I have watched a few anime's which were really good (death note and sao are amazing btw), but I love watching Once Upon A Time and shows like that. Friends is always a go to because I'm completely obsessed. As a kid I watched a lot of Home Improvement because my mom would always have it on.
  • I don't really have a favorite color. I love lots of different colors like navy blue and burgundy/ maroon. I also love things like rose gold and copper. I also love the monochrome scale of shades.
  • My bed room walls are mint green because I used t love everything mint green color.
  • My go to outfit is probably a flannel with ripped jeans (or leggings) and some cute boots.
  • Hobbies include writing, designing interiors in my head, photography, a little bit of beauty, making quotes, being on my Tumblr 24/7, and so many more things.
  • My birthday is on July 28! (two days before Sam's) I've never known anyone personally who has the same birthday as me!
Maybe we have some things in common! :)

Sam- Vegetarianism 12-10-15

September Fourth 2015 is a very important date in my life, it was the day that I became vegetarian.  I had been thinking about doing it for almost a year and that was the day when I told my mom.  I was not met with as much enthusiasm as I expected.  It took a while for my republican, Christian, catholic mother to warm up to, but eventually it just became the norm (along with countless remarks and rude comments about how I'm "unhealthy").

I became vegetarian because the taste of meat disgusts me, and I can't stand the thought of a slaughter house being used just so I can increase my risk of heart disease (look it up).  I don't find it very hard to avoid meat in my daily diet, I avoided it even before I became vegetarian.

Do I have cravings?
Sometimes, mostly just for my favorite meals, but then I remember that in doing this I am not ending lives to survive.

What do you get your protein from?
I get this question a lot, and to be honest, it pisses me off.  Meat is not the only thing in the world that has protein in it, nuts, beans, and fruits all have protein in them.  I also have fake meat products that I have frequently that have tons of protein in them.

What do you get at restaurants?
I love soups and salads, soups are full of vegetables and salads are full of fruits, they also taste amazing despite being extremely healthy.

Do people accept you?
Ugh, mostly yes, but my family is just kinda stands me, every time we have something for dinner and I have to stay behind to make something for myself, it's a tsunami of insults and jabs, but I always respond with "at least I'm not mass producing animals to slaughter for food.

If you have anymore questions please ask, I'm happy to help

Have a wonderful day/week/month/year/lifetime/beyond :)

Sophia- Twenty One Pilots - Songs

Here are just a few songs that I've been loving recently. I chose these songs to share to you guy because of their meanings. The lyrics and music just go hand in hand. Also, since I do get stressed very easily and I can easily just become really sad, these are some songs I listen to to drown out my extra voices. Basically these are songs I connect to, and I thought maybe you guys would like to know about these songs. (Sorry if you've heard them already! But hey, give the song another listen to)

  • Car Radio - Twenty One Pilots
Sometimes you have to sit in silence and really think about your thoughts. That's one of the main messages in this song. He talks about how someone stole his car radio, and he now has no music to drain out and masks his thoughts. "I ponder of something great/ my lungs will fill and then deflate/ they fill with fire, exhale desire/ I know it's dire my time today." These are the first lyrics you are encountered with when listening to the song. These lines talk about how sometimes thinking of something great can affect how you feel, in both good and bad ways. "I have these thoughts/ so often I ought/ to replace the slot/ with what I once bought/ 'cause somebody stole/ my car radio/ and now I just sit in silence." These are the next lyrics that you will continue to hear throughout the song. These lyrics talk about how someone stole his car radio, and he now has to deal with the thoughts he having, because there's no music to drown the thoughts out. Overall, the piano and drums behind this song (and every TOP song) go hand in hand. I just love listening to this when I have to drown out my thoughts or stress. (Kinda ironic)
  • Goner - Twenty One Pilots (I have a TOP obsession |-/)
I have taught myself how to play the piano parts to this song. It's such a beautiful piano song if anyone is looking for something quick, easy, and beautiful to play. I've also listened to so many covers of this song, and each way everyone plays this song is different. This whole song is very repetitive. (Listen to the song and you will understand) "I'm a goner/ somebody catch my breath/ I'm a goner/ somebody catch my breath/ I wanna be know/ by you/ I wanna be know/ by you." My favorite lyrics to this song are, "Though I'm weak/ and beaten down/ I'll slip away/ into the sound." I just really like how those lyrics sound with his voice and the music. The words just speak so much when they say how when I'm weak, I go and drown myself (metaphorically) into the music. (Kinda similar to Car Radio. Actually no, very similar)

I'll do this more and more when I listen to new songs. Here's just two Twenty One Pilot songs that I've really enjoyed recently. If you're also a TOP fan like me, comment down below. Also if you have any songs you want me to talk about, also let me know! Feel free to tweet me your favorite songs. Thank you loves xx

Sam- Dear People 12-9-15

So I basically hate everyone.  Mostly people who try to argue their point with out knowing anything about the subject being argued.  Only argue your point IF YOU ACTUALLY KNOW THAT YOU ARE CORRECT I cannot stress this enough.  Don't try to argue if you only think you are right, if you know, that based on facts that have been proven then argue.  GOD I HATE DEBATES WITH STUPID PEOPLE.  Please, please, back up your point with actual fact, I will gladly have a fact based, intelligent conversation with you (view the "our community" to debate with us and fellow viewers).  But, if you don't know what the hell you're talking about, then don't try to argue, GOD alright thanks for listening to my rant, small post today, I'll talk to you soon.

So I read a lot, and I read fast, so I have plenty of books that have taken place in my mental library, so many books that have really shaped me today, that no one knows exists, so I decided to put together a list of the books that I would recommend to young adult- adult readers.

  • The Nine Lives of Chloe King, Liz Braswell
  • Silver, Chris Wooding
  • Teardrop, Lauren Kate

Sam- Letter Box DIY 12-7-15

I apologize for the short post in advance.  So there are a lot of people in this world that drive me insane, but sometimes I don't have the gut or sanity to argue with them, to tell them how wrong they are, so one day, I was going through a lot, and my cousin told me about something she had been doing for a while, that she called her Secret Letter Box.  Basically, what she did was write letters to people, things that she would not say to them in person, or at all, then, she would place the letters in a box and put the box away forever, never to read again.  So, I tried the idea, and honestly, it allows the mind to be set free, it feels as though you actually did say this to the person, and weight after weight is removed from the body, and happiness ensues.

So I decided to teach you how to make a box for yourself :)

Step One
Find a box, it can be any size, a shoe box is best for this.

Step Two
You can decorate this box with anything that makes you happy, that allows you to be lighter when writing these letters.

Step Three
Write a letter, include the date.

Step Four
Fold the letter into a paper airplane, a metaphor for letting the problem, and bad energy fly away.

Step Five
Place the letter in the box and put the box away

  • Remember to never read the letters again, in doing this you are bringing the bad attitudes and energies back to you, were they don't belong :)
  • Refer to this box whenever you need to, I promise it will help.

Hope you have a wonderful day/week/month/year/lifetime/beyond :)

Sam- How To Help Someone With Depression/ Signs of Depression/ Suicidal Tendencies 12-4-15

Sam- 12-4-15

Hello again, I hope you all are doing well, today I'd like to talk about helping people, specifically people going through depression or are showing signs of being suicidal, and how to spot them.

Signs of self harm or suicidal thoughts:

  • If you see the marks Obviously, if you see the marks then that person is either in a bad situation at home, accidentally hurt themselves, or the obvious, they self harm out of depression.
  • Watch and see if they wear long sleeves, or pants everyday If someone wears long sleeves everyday, even though it's not winter, or cold out at all, then this could be a sign of them not wanting to show their scars, or they like being over heated, which means they should really get help
  • If they wear long sleeves, pay close attention if you can see their wrists at any point If you look closely enough than you may be able to see the bottom of their sleeve move up slightly, which is a good way to look for marks without them knowing or being suspicious
  • If they constantly are talking about the afterlife, or things bigger than themselves This may be a sign of being religious or just wanting to be in the after life rather than on Earth
  • If they contemplate the reasoning behind their own life They may either be Dan Howell or really believe that they are pointless and not worth it to be around

These are just a few ways to spot someone with depression, or find out if someone close to you is self harming, but now that you know they do these things, you need to know how to help them with out driving them away.  If this person is saying that they don't believe life is worth living, don't tell them they can't and are not allowed to leave, comfort them with soothing words, telling them how much they mean to you and the world, tell them that shutting people out, or just wanting to give up entirely, is making the world loose an amazing person who can do some amazing things one day, once they beat the depression.

For people who self harm, find some time to be alone with them, and ask them how they are feeling that day.  Most people who hurt themselves don't like the idea of other people knowing what they are doing, obviously.  Every once in a while, tell them how much they mean to you, and how much it would destroy the people who love them to see them gone.  Don't expect this person to just throw away the razor, lighter etc. away immediatly, this of all things takes a long time to heal completely.

They best thing to do for this person in your life is to love them, and treat them as such.  I hope these tips helped some of you, and for all the people going through this, there are people who can help, counselors, free, confidential help, and me, of course :) Also put some tips that you have found in the comments below!

Hope you have a wonderful day/week/month/year/lifetime/beyond

Sam- Appreciation 11-29-15

Sam- 11-29-15

Sophia and I love going to plays, recently we went to see Almost Maine- and one thing I can say is that my feels are still broken.  The play is about a little town in Maine that's so far to the north it's almost in Canada, and almost in the United States, Almost.  The story surrounds the relationships of the people in Almost Maine, several adorable couples that not only tug on the strings of your heart, but rip them to shreds. I won't give too much away about the play, but Sophia and I really recommend you go see it yourself.

Seeing this play made me think about how hard some people work, to not be recognized for it.  The students putting on this play did an amazing job, however going to the play you can see that some people didn't go to appreciate the actors, just to have a night out with friends.  Dear people who talk during performances, LEAVE THE EARTH, I ASSUME WHEREVER YOU ARE THERE IS A DOOR, USE IT, LEAVE.

Sorry for my little angersplosion there (yes I just made up a word deal with it), but these people work so hard to put on a performance of something they are very dedicated to, just for people to make fun of it and never bother to give them a chance.  It's the same thing with high school bands, you will be at a pep- rally, the football team will be announced, the entire stadium freaks the fuck out.  You would expect the same kind of reaction for the band kids that work just as hard, sometimes harder, but what you get is the small low clap of the people who appreciate the band, or from the people who just kinda feel bad.

I think all people should be recognized for something they are passionate about, and love doing, no matter what it is.  If you love playing the recorder with you nose, good, you're awesome for caring about something *Claps*.  If you love to chase leaves and dress them up like they're pets, congratulations that you were actually able to do something with your life *Claps*.  Everyone deserves to be appreciated for doing the thing they love doing (except cannibalism and murder, then you really shouldn't be clapped for at your psycho school) , so don't put yourself down if you aren't clapped for as highly as the football team, just be happy that there are people clapping, and I always will be, even if I am not there :)

Have a happy day/week/month/year/life/beyond

Sam- Acceptance Of Others 11/9/15

'Ello all it's me Sam, back here because I wanted to make a post about something that I think is very important in this day in age, and that is acceptance.  Recently the world has been becoming more and more diverse, and the younger people like most of you don't really mind what someone's sexual preference is, what their race is, what your religion is, etc.  However there are still some people out there that don't think that anyone besides them is equal to them.  There are people who think they understand what others are going through but they don't.  This space that we have created together is going to be one of acceptance and love for one another, hate and disrespect is not tolerated here, and shouldn't be anywhere else, with that in mind, please try to refrain from putting down others opinions because they are not similar to your own.  If there is someone saying that they think people should wait to have sex after marriage and you disagree with them talk it out and inform them of why you have your certain opinion, perhaps they can change your views. This is true in any situation, even when you're not here behind a screen, try to be accepting of people like this in everyday life, even if you really, really want to throw a brick at them for being so wrong.  If you agree and want this message to be at the fore front of everyone's mind, post a comment to talk about your opinion, or tell a story about when you weren't accepted, because someone here will accept you when that person didn't :) Hope you have an amazing day/week/month/year/lifetime/beyond
